PAINT PROTECTION FILM

Paint Protection Film (also known as PPF), is essentially a self-healing clear film.

Stone chips, scratches, swirls and scuffs don't penetrate the film, and disappear with the application of heat from hot tap water, the car's engine, or even the sun.

It not only enhances the look of your pride and joy, but most importantly protects your investment.

WHAT IS PPF?

This magical film protects your paintwork from chips, minor scuffs and scrapes, environmental factors such as bug splatter, and protects the finish against defects from low quality washing chemicals.

When looked after properly, it gives a depth of shine like freshly detailed paint for many years.

For our Paint Protection Film Packages, we exclusively use Sun-Tek (10 Year Manufacturers' Warranty) & CovrGard (7+ Year  Manufacturer's Warranty).

Both of these films have been scientifically formulated to help maintain the beauty & integrity of your paintwork finishes, for many years in all kinds of weather.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The life of your PPF really does depend on how often, and how well, you maintain it.

Manufacturers offer 7-10 year warranty, and if you follow their / our aftercare advice strictly, it can even last quite a bit longer!

Check out our Aftercare Information for a bit more advice on this. You can also research / contact the used manufacturer for further information.

AFTERCARE INFORMATION

We recommend that you wash the vehicle no sooner than 14 days after install - this ensures that the film has settled well, and further makes sure no water interference under all edges / corners which ultimately may cause it to lift.

We advise that you only use PPF specific shampoos - it'll be best for you to research the used brands' recommended products.

If you notice any bubbles or even a slight haze in the film, there is nothing to fear - this generally is caused by moisture evaporating through the film, and will disappear over time. Please do not take your own action, if you are concerned, please do contact us!

Surface scratches, marks from washing, and any other environment defects will self heal over time. To accelerate the process, you can use hot (not boiling) water, which encourages the film to self heal a tad quicker.

If you have bug splatter or bird lime residue, we advise you clean this off correctly as soon as possible (as if not, it can negatively affect the self-healing clear coat of the film). This can be done with a jet wash (not too close), spray bottle or hose - let it soak before wiping away with a soft clean cloth.
